Christmas Party - December 14, 2005

Gorge Canadians and Gorge Royals Split One at a Hard Fought Party!
The Gorge Canadians (Brad and Mafalda) and Gorge Royals (Mike) joined forces for a Christmas Party at the Gorge Fieldhouse.

We started the evening's festivites with some fun soccer related games in the cage and then moved into the fieldhouse for pizza, pop, chips (and even veggies!) and some goodies brought by some of the families.

Sorry to the parents for standing outside waiting for so long, I was hoping they would have opened the Field House a little earlier so you could have stayed warmer by the fire!

Thank you to all parents and players from both teams for participating in the party in any way you could. I hope your girls had fun ... because that's why we do these things!

Thanks to the helpers from both teams for doing the following ...

• organizing the eating area, setting the tables, etc.
• blowing up balloons for the outside game
• bringing extra food (veggies, fruit) and goodies (great ginger bread cookies Douglas!)
• cleaning up (great job mopping Urania!) --> I don't think that place has looked that clean for a long time
• to Denise for taking the garbage home ... better your car than mine :-)
• taking pictures
• to Mafalda for organizing the inside games and assisting with the outside games
• etc. etc. etc.

Lastly, thanks to Mike and his team for making the night extra fun. I think its group events like this that make being in a soccer club like Gorge more than just playing a sport once a week!!
